Introduction:

If you are using the Welcome to AuthPoint! document and you are unable to access the activation email, you can use this process to activate your token.

Prerequisites

  • Install the WatchGuard AuthPoint Application, which can be downloaded (for free) on the Android and iPhone app stores (if you do step 1 on your phone, there should be links that take you straight to the app on the app store)
    Below is what the application looks like:
  • Pending Activation 
  • No active token

PROCEDURE

1.
Navigate to your IDP Portal, you get to this by going to IDP URL Link on the Info and Tabs page.

*You will want to bookmark this on your web browser as more applications may be integrated here in the future.

Type in Primary Email Addres, Click Next

You should see the following Menu:
(If you can't see the option to activate token, email Damian Rivas and ask to confirm if you have pending token. If you don't he will have to "Send an invite" to you to create one and then you can proceed.
4.
Type in your AuthPoint password. Your Password is usually Synced to Computer login.

Select between one of the two options:

Option 1 (Preferred): Activate Mobile Token - Use this if you have Smart-Phone to use.
Option 2: Activate Hardware Token -  Use this if utilizing a AuthPoint Hardware Token

 

5.
Click Next

Mobile Token Self-Activation

1.
Simply scan the QR Code with your AuthPoint application and  use QR Scanner to scan the QR Code.

Click Finish

Hardware Token Self-Activation

1.
Type in the parameters:

Token Serial Number
  • On Back of Token (on bottom of barcode)
  • Type as formatted on back of token: WG-XXXXXXXXX-X
  • ex: WG-000000123-2
One-Time Password (OTP)
  • On front of Token
  • 6 digits
  • ex: 424343

 

2.
Click Finish
